उत्तरकाशी: विश्व एड्स दिवस पर जागरूकता, छात्रों को दी जानकारी

उत्तरकाशी। विश्व एड्स दिवस के अवसर पर रामचंद्र उनियाल राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय, उत्तरकाशी में महाविद्यालय की रेड रिबन क्लब (रेड क्रॉस समिति) द्वारा एक विशेष जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य छात्र-छात्राओं एवं स्थानीय युवाओं को एचआईवी/एड्स के प्रति जागरूक करना, इसके प्रसार के कारणों, बचाव के उपायों तथा इससे जुड़े मिथकों को दूर करना रहा।

इस अवसर पर रेड रिबन क्लब की सदस्य डॉ. सुनैना भट्ट ने एड्स के वैश्विक परिदृश्य, भारत में इसकी स्थिति तथा सुरक्षित व्यवहार अपनाने की आवश्यकता पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला।

कार्यक्रम में भूगोल विभाग की डॉ. सुनीता रावत भंडारी, डॉ. सुमिता पवार, बबीता रावत, चित्रकला विभाग की डॉ. मधु बहुगुणा सहित अन्य फैकल्टी सदस्य एवं बड़ी संख्या में छात्र-छात्राएं उपस्थित रहे।

प्रभारी प्राचार्य डॉ. एमपीएस परमार ने इस आयोजन की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि ऐसे जागरूकता कार्यक्रम युवा पीढ़ी को स्वस्थ एवं जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।

Uttarkashi: Awareness Programme on World AIDS Day, Students Sensitised About HIV/AIDS

Uttarkashi: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, an awareness programme was organised by the Red Ribbon Club of Ramchandra Uniyal Government Post Graduate College, Uttarkashi.The event aimed to educate students and youth about HIV/AIDS, its causes, prevention methods, and to dispel associated myths and stigma.Dr. Sunaina Bhatt, in-charge of the Red Ribbon Club, delivered a detailed presentation on the global and national scenario of AIDS, the importance of safe practices, and the need to end discrimination against affected individuals.Faculty members including Dr. Sunita Rawat Bhandari, Dr. Sumita Pawar, Babita Rawat from the Geography Department, and Dr. Madhu Bahuguna from the Fine Arts Department, along with a large number of students, actively participated in the programme.At the conclusion, all participants wore the red ribbon as a symbol of solidarity and pledged to fight against AIDS and support those living with it.The Principal of the college appreciated the initiative and emphasised that such awareness drives play a vital role in building a healthy and responsible younger generation.
